In a series of four discussions we will look at some of the Bard’s most memorable women: Hamlet’s mother, Lady MacBeth and Rosalind (As You Like It). Ambition, lust, loss awakening and joy! It is all there and always has been. Re-think and re-connect some amazing female characters from a time not entirely foreign to our own. Participants should be prepared to read several texts in preparation for each lesson. For interested participants we will attend a Royal Shakespeare Company Performance of "As You Like It" on April 11th at CINEMA in Nymphenburger Straße. Tickets not included in course price.
